Welcome to the M>Tram Historical Archive, an independent project documenting and preserving the history of M>Tram, which operated Melbourne's Swanston Trams franchise between 1999 and 2004.

From its distinctive green and blue branding and Moving Melbourne identity to the introduction of the Siemens Combino fleet, M>Tran represented a unique chapter in the history of Melbourne's tramway system. Although the company ceased operations in April 2004, its impact on Melbourne's public transport network remains significant.

This archive will bring together photographs, fleet information, route histories, depot records, maps, timetables, advertising material, documents and other historical resources to create a comprehensive record of the M>Tram era
